If you’re looking for mantel decorating ideas, you are in the right place! 😉
I’ve been busy gathering up a collection of farmhouse style mantel decor ideas so that I can decorate our new DIY fireplace mantle.
My husband recently built it, and he pretty much knocked it out of the park.
I can’t wait to show the photo on our home reveal…coming soon!
These mantel decorating ideas go perfectly in our new farmhouse fixer upper, and I can’t wait to implement some of these gorgeous displays.
One of my pet peeves is seeing a lovely design, but not knowing where to get it! So, below each design is a collection of similar decor pieces that you can shop if you’d like!
I hope this collection can help both of us nail down some design ideas we can bring into our homes.
Let’s get to it!

1) Farmhouse Windowpane Mantel Decor
Carissa at Bless This Nest Blog shares this lovely decor collection. She uses what many designers refer to as the triangular movement pattern.
The large window pane provides the top point, and visual anchor. The lovely candles and eucalyptus act as fillers with a triangular outline and beautiful texture.

I love this clean and elegant farmhouse mantel from 33decor.com. The circular black mirror looks so clean and stylish on top of the shiplap fireplace.
This mission style fireplace surround is very similar to the one we are building. I can’t wait to slap a good sized circular mirror on top!

#7) How To Decorate A Fireplace Mantel By Tidbits & Twine
Tidbits & Twine give the perfect visual example of the triangle of movement design pattern. You can follow this general rule of thumb with ANY design elements that you chose.
I also think that it’s wise to select them in order. First, your statement anchor piece, second your weighted ends, and thirdly your fillers.
