How To Make Your House Smell Good Naturally

Are you ready to explore how to make your house smell good without any irritating chemicals?  Great!

We all know our supermarket isles are packed with air and room fresheners that will make your home smell pretty good in no time at all.

You can push the button the aerosol spray, clip on the vent fresheners, and Febreeze the sofa.

What’s wrong with this?

They are packed with a number of suspicious chemicals.

The debate rages on over which chemicals, and what amounts are actually considered ‘toxic.’ But with my family…I’m not into taking chances.

So what should you do?

Well, you can always search for products that are free of VOCs (volatile organic compounds), benzene and formaldehyde to name a few.

Second, you can learn how to create wonderful fragrances in your home that use completely natural ingredients!

These 10 DIY ideas below will teach you how to make your house smell good without any of the added junk.

And it’s completely worth your time btw. 😉

Did you know that studies show that 75% of your emotions are actually triggered by smell?!?

Feelings of pleasure, well-being, and a large part of our memories are triggered by what we smell.

Crazy right?

I’m glad you’re here getting ready to nail the welcoming scent you’d like to have greet everyone that walks through your door. 😉

Let’s hammer the home smells!

This ingenious idea comes from the Kids Activities Blog.

Think about it!…If you have a furnace in your home, all of the air passes through an air filter.

What a perfect place to clear out unwanted smells and infuse something that smells wonderful.

As with everything, quality counts!

Avoid the knock off department store essential oils and use one with zero fillers or additives, like this one.

It is just what is sounds like!

Pot + Water+ Fragrant Ingredients (usually herbs and fruits).  There are a million different stove top simmer recipes on Pinterest.  I especially love all of the fall and holiday variations.

A slow simmer on your stove will perfume your entire home with a wonderful and unforgettable scent!

You can explore some here along with a million other awesome things.

I use this particular diffuser after I cook a strong smelling meal, before guests arrive, or just any darn time if I’m really honest!
