We’ve all been there… It’s 4:00 and you have the munchies for some empty carbohydrates. Don’t fall for a face off with the pantry! Stay ahead of hunger with these easy keto snacks!
They will give you the will power to pass on the conference room donuts. They will keep you out of the fast food line after work.
These satisfying low carb snacks are more powerful that you might believe. They keep you ahead of the game, and on track with your diet!
If you let your hunger get out of control and are tempted to cheat with a crunchy carb…
Who wins in this moment?
If you’re totally honest, it’s usually the carb.
You’re too far gone, too hungry, and running on empty. Not a fair fight if you ask me!
Think of these nutrient rich easy keto snacks as ammo that you will use to take down the next carbohydrate that tries to tempt you in a weak moment.
You’re hunger will be tamed and your self control in full force.
Big victories come after many little wins, and I know yours is right around the corner.
Let’s get to it.
#1) Hard Boiled Eggs
So filling, so easy to eat on the go. They will require a little prep work, but last time I checked nearly everyone can boil a pot of water! ๐
There are a massive amount of tips for the best way to peel hard boiled eggs (which I like to do ahead of time so they are ready to grab). I’ve had good luck with this method.
- Bring a large stock pot of water to a boil
- Carefully submerge eggs into water AFTER it is boiling
- cook for 9-10 minutes for firm eggs.
- Drain hot water, add ice cubes and cold tap water and let sit for 10 minutes
#2) Nuts
No prep work required for this rich snack. To my knowledge, nearly all types of nuts are welcomed on the keto diet, and keeping them readily accessible is a keto snack must. Try portioning them ahead into snack sized baggies for an easy grab on the go snack.
AND because nuts are high in fat, they can spoil. I like to buy them in bulk (to save money) and then keep them in the freezer to prevent them from going bad. Naughty nuts.
#3) Cheese
String, cubes, crumbles, and soft spreads…you name it, you can eat it. The variety of cheeses out there make this such a versatile and interesting snack. You can constantly change it up. Buying larger blocks of cheese and cutting them into cubes yourself will take just a little time, but save you a lot of money.
#4) Pork Rinds
A diet that has pork rinds on the menu is A ok with me! lol I love this 6-pack below that you can order on Amazon. They are quick and easy to grab to when you are on your way out the door, and have an awesome spicy pepper flavoring. You’re welcome.
#5) Pepperoni Chips from Genius Kitchen
You could definitely just throw a few pepperoni slices into a bag as part of your lunch, but these pepperoni chips from the genius kitchen are totally worth your time. Just an oven, baking sheet, and some pepperoni and you can make enough chips to last the entire week. Yum!
#6) Beef Jerkey
Beef jerkey is so satisfying. It can get super expensive though. I like this 1 lb bag of People’s Choice jerkey you can order on Amazon.
It’s thick cut and chewy unlike the softer big brands.
#7) Celery & Cucumber Sticks
There can be a surprising amount of carbohydrates lurking in our favorite root vegetables.
Celery, broccoli, and asparagus however are keto friendly options.
Having celery sticks cut and on hand (storing them in water helps keep them crisp) will keep you on track and help satisfy the crunch you crave. If you have extra time, fill them with peanut butter! ๐
#8) Bacon Chips from Mom Dot
Another brilliant use of the oven if you ask me. While you’ll probably have to pass on the homemake guacamole if you’re in a hurry, you can prep these bacon chips in advance and enjoy them all week long.
Salty and crunchy, make them ahead of time for an easy keto snack!
#9) Keto No Bake Cookies from How To This & That
I wouldn’t normally put a cookie recipe on an easy snack list, but these are the best. AND they don’t require any baking.
If you can measure a few ingredients and spoon them onto a flat surface you can make these easy keto no bake cookies.
They will really help satisfy your sweet tooth, and have that delicious rich dense no bake cookie texture that you know and love.
#10) Olives
Olives are a great snack. They are high in fat, and easy to eat. Y
ou can simply drain canned olives and take them on the go, or you can kick it up a notch with deli selections. I do try to avoid olives soaked in oils unless I am able to sit down with a fork as I don’t want to deal with the oily finger mess.
#11) Roll Ups from Pip & Ebby
You’ll be so glad if you take the time assemble these mouth watering roll ups. You will need pickles, cream cheese, and sliced corned beef.
YUM, head on over to her blog for trick on how to assemble them.
#12) Berries
Low sugar berries make great grab and go snacks. Blackberries, raspberry’s or blueberries work well and are packed with so many wonderful nutrients! I like to give them a quick rinse, and throw them into a sandwich bag with a paper towel on the bottom.
The towel helps soak up extra water from rinsing and helps keep them moist and fresh until snack time.
Keep on keepin on my friends, you go this…one easy keto snack at a time! ๐
