20 Heartwarming Valentines Day Ideas

Looking for the perfect Valentines Day Ideas?  Great!

Valentines Day comes with a fair amount of expectations…Flowers, the perfect gifts, romantic dates… it can be a lot! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not to mention, Valentines Day is one of the hardest days of the year to find a babysitter for crying out loud!

Everyone else is out enjoying a romantic evening with their loved one then I figure we might as well embrace the crazy of our family and 5 and plan something the entire family can enjoy.

Besides, they take up a huge piece of our hearts we might as well celebrate the love together and save the romantic evening out for a day when sitters are a little more available. ๐Ÿ˜›

That being said…you’re going to find a little bit of EVERYTHING in this Valentines Day roundup post.

Valentines day gift ideas, food and recipes as well as decor and tablescapes the entire family will love!

Let’s hop to it!

Valentines Day Gifts For Him

Guys are the HARDEST to buy for!  Anything the really want, the probably went out and bought all ready.

It’s no wonder ‘Valentines Day gift ideas for him’ is one of the most searched terms on Pinterest in the month of February.

No one knows what to get them! ๐Ÿ˜›

Well, I have a theory I’d like to divulge for a moment…

Men crave R-E-S-P-E-C-T.  Just like Aretha had been singing for years.

So, how do you give it to him?

Well, it’s pretty obvious that we should probably declare all ALL STOP to criticisms, critiques, and sarcastic comments. *Cough Cough*

It’s time to focus on the things you admire and appreciate about your man.

These valentines day ideas don’t cost a lot of money, and will likely give him all the feels.

A cute jar filled with love notes is a great idea if you don’t want to hole punch and bind 52 cards. ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe you could even pick out a cute jar that you could use later. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Socks, red boxers, and liquor.  What else does a guy need? What a fun DIY gift idea!

Golf Ball Gift Ideas

If your man likes to golf (like mine does) he will be pumped to receive this  pack of golf balls.

Even if he’s not super into it most men love a prompt to take on a new challenge.

All the men that I know that are really into golf only play with these balls.

These are a good less expensive option for golfers that are just starting out! ;-)…AND they are grey and red….you’re welcome!

I hope you found some gift ideas that fit your man and your budget.  Now let’s talk food!

Valentines Day Food & Recipes

Eating out with 3 kids 5 and under isn’t anyone’s favorite activity…especially on an evening when restaurant wait times will be longer than ever.

So what to make?

It’s gotta be something the whole family will love.

I’m thinking something fairly easy to execute that is unusually delicious.

Below is a recipe collection that you will fall head over heels for.

Valentines Day Beef Tenderloinvalentines day ideas

A quick sear on the grill, dice on some red potatoes, and it all goes into the oven in one pan.

Heart Shaped Pizza

If beef tenderloin is a little too fancy your family night dinner, you are going to love these individual heart shaped pizzas!

You could easily make one big pizza to save time, but these small personal heart pizzas are pretty adorable!

Heads up, you’ll need a heart fondant cutter for these darling dainty pepperonis.

Strawberries, spinach, and candied pecans?

Pretty safe to say we found Mom’s favorite course on the valentines day menu!

This delicious salad is a beautiful as it is delicious, a perfect fresh accompaniment to a hearty main.

Beautiful Raspberry Brownie Trifle

These look and taste amazing!  While I’m not usually a huge trifle person, I love these.

They are easy to make, especially if you take a little brownie help from the store, and the presentation is perfect.

The kids would love helping assemble (and of course) eat these!

Heart Shaped Valentines Day Cake

If you have a little extra time you know you can’t go wrong with pink frosting!

The best thing about this heart shaped cake recipe is that it doesn’t require a heart shaped cake pan!

One square, and one circle of equal size and you’re all set.

Don’t be shy to use a boxed cake mix here.  Just add a homemade frosting…it’s SO much better than the stuff in the can.

I frequently eyeball

  • softened butter
  • powdered sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • milk

Mix until it is a desired consistency and you’re ready to frost…a cooled cake ofcourse! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh…and don’t forget the cocktails! Maybe a Shirley T for the kiddos?

Easy Afternoon Valentines Day Crafts For The Kids

Crafting with the kids does take a little bit of planning.  But it will be SO worth it.

They have such joy in making something unique and creative.  Not to mention these adorable and easy crafts make great gift ideas too!

What would a Valentines Day at home be without a little decor?  I know that it’s not usually a holiday that people think about pulling out a ton of decor…but I think it deserves a little more attention than it gets!

Christmas and New Years have passed, but the days are still short and the temperates cold!

Why not spice up late January this year with some festive Valentines Day Decor!?
