Ice, in it’s simplicity is actually pretty attractive if you think about it. When placed in a lovely vessel such as this one as featured on Crate and Barrel Blog you can turn a simple drink station into party decoration.
It’s beautiful, functional, and a couple free floating flowers add the perfect touch of softness.
You can easily repurpose any clear container you have such a punch bowl, large flower vase or pitcher for a similar effect.

#3) Backyard Wheelbarrow Entertaining Idea For A Party
This idea as seen on The Spruce is rustic smart and stylish. Rinse out your wheelbarrow, fill it with ice and add your favorite beverages. Positioning it in the perfect place will be a breeze, as will clean up.
Simply head towards a tree or shrub needing a drink an dump out your extra ice!
#4) Party Ready Flavored Ice Cubes
If you’re not a big fan of plain ol water these flavored ice cubes will add some fun and flavor! This idea comes from Lets Mingle Blog as she uses these stylish large ice cube squares as a way to spruce up everyday water glasses…not to mention impress her guests.
You can make these using this large square silicone ice mold, and by following the link to the Lets Mingle Blog for a step by step tutorial.
*Hint…for clear cubes you need to use filtered water.
#5 Glitter Ice Cubes for Entertaining
While these cubes AREN’T edible, they are fabulous.
This idea comes from the Something Turquoise blog where she stylishly embellishes ice used to chill drinks in ice buckets.

4th of July party, here we come! This patriotic idea from Today’s Creative Life is the perfect cube for champagne or sparkling wine.
She uses blue and red Poweraid sports drinks in this fun and festive star ice mold.
#7 Holiday Party Ice Shot Glasses
How gorgeous are these?! They are another beautiful creation from Sugar and Charm. The sky is the limit when it comes to decorative embellishments!
You can find ice shot glass molds from Amazon here. If large round molds are your thing (hello whiskey drinkers) I’d recommend these.
#8) Lavender Ice Sticks Party Idea
This lovely linear design comes from the blog Rooted in Thyme. Long ice sticks are perfect for tall summer drink cups, and water bottles. You can make an ice cube stick by using an ice mold tray like this one.
For ice that will end up in beverages it’s always a good idea to stick to edible flowers such as lavender, pansies, roses, hibiscus and violets.
One note… take your time when you take these lovely sticks out of the mold, as they can break.
Hey give em a break, (not literally) they are ice after all! 😛
#9) Clear Rose Cubes Entertaining Idea
This gorgeous idea from Nialogique is simple perfection. The blossoms of these tender roses look so gorgeous in the clear ice.
You can get super clear cubes by boiling water, letting it cool completely, and then boiling it again and letting it completely cool again. I am planning to make these for brunch the morning of my cousin McKenzie’s wedding.
The bride to be and her entourage are coming to my house to get ready for her big day, and I can hardly wait to be a part of the excitement!
#10) Night Party Glow In The Dark Ice Cubes
Did you know these were even a thing? I sure didn’t!
This creative idea and photo comes from Blog Lovin’. Tonic water (which contains the ingredient quinine) glows beautifully underneath a black light! She mixes tonic water with regular filtered water and adds flavored additives. Pretty cool!
