Well hey there! If you’re looking for a healthy and delicious chicken pasta recipe then you are in the right place.
This is one of my go-to recipes recipes for busy weeknight meals as well as weekend entertaining!
What makes this dish come together in a cinch is that I (almost) always have lemon garlic grilled chicken breasts made ahead in my freezer.
It may sound like overkill, but this has saved my bacon so many times.
I mean saved my chicken. 😛
This dish can come together in 15-20 minutes if you have some made ahead too.
Check out this post, to learn how you can get a head start on dozen of delicious meals.
Ok, now back to the pasta!
This dish is simple, fresh, lightly sauced and oh SO good! It uses quality fresh ingredients that have the best flavor.
Here’s how you make it!

How To Make Keri’s Chicken Pasta Bowl
First, you’ll need an extra large skillet pan (with lid).
I love to use my large table top electric skillet for this recipe!
It’s easy to control the temperature and large enough to hold the piles of fresh ingredients! I use it for so many family meals. <3
Start by slicing onions into long thin pieces and cooking them in extra virgin olive oil.
Like most of my recipes I rarely measure! 😉
I eye ball the seasonings as I add each ingredient. So feel free to let your creative juices flow with this one!
After the onions are softened and brown, add fresh minced garlic and cook an additional 1-2 minutes.
Next up, the cherry tomatoes!
This recipe calls for 2 lbs, which may seem like a lot but these babies cook down and become the base of a fresh tomatoes sauce.
Their flavor is unbeatable.
To help keep their shape, I always cut the heat to low so they can warm and melt into the dish without completely disintegrating.
Shortly after the tomatoes I add an entire (12-16 oz) container of baby spinach.
when you first pile this on you will think it’s WAY too much!
But it will wilt down tremendously and add the perfect freshness and color to the dish.
Next up – the delicious cooked ahead grilled chicken.
If you want to grill some fresh it will also taste great!
A simple lemon garlic seasoning seasoning would be perfect.
After I add the chicken and spinach, I pop the lid on and let the fresh veggies wilt down on very low heat (usually 4-5 minutes).
I gently fold these ingredients together with a pair of kitchen tongues like pictured above!
While my fresh ingredients are getting happy and blending flavors I start cooking the pasta!
You could really use any pasta you like for this dish, but I think fettuccini works really well.
When your pasta is al dente (DON’T OVER COOK IT!) drain and place directly into your skillet mixture!
I like to add a couple pats of butter (2-3 tablespoons) for flavor. You could use extra olive oil here too.
Gently fold ingredients together and with the heat off (or on very low) cover and let the dish sit for 10 minutes or so.
This is where the flavors really come together!
The pasta will soak up extra juices and make the perfect consistency.
I’ve even made this way ahead of company arriving and had it on very low for up to an hour.
I think the flavor was even better quite honestly, which makes this a great dish to make ahead!
When you’re ready to eat, simply plate and top with feta cheese crumbles!
The cheese is the star of the dish in my opinion.
It’s sharp salty flavor is so good with the fresh ingredients and light olive oil sauce.
This works well twirled up on bowls, or on a small plate!
Add a fresh garlic toast on it’s side and dinner is served.
I hope you enjoy this chicken pasta recipe as much as we do!
Cheers for now my friends!
