Before I do any shopping, I like to measure the spaces I want to decorate.
For example, the space between the top of the headboard to the ceiling, and the width above the headboard.
I sometimes measure above the night stands, or in between windows if you have them on your wall of your bed.
I also take a picture of the undecorated wall space on my phone!
These photos are really handy to reference when you are shopping in store or on line.
Once you have your rough dimensions and a couple pics, it’s time to select decor pieces that will bring your bedroom to life!
This is where most DIY decorators go wrong, like selecting tiny decor pieces for an enormous wall.
