Hanging brackets are an awesome way to utilize dead wall space. You can create open hanging areas for your favorite clothes, bags, and scarves. Display some of your bright seasonal pieces and it acts as a stylish addition to your space.

This simple and functional tip comes from BHG. When it comes to making the most out of a small space you need to stop to think if there is any area of the room that is not currently being used, and then create something functional for it!

There is a wonderful DIY tutorial from Yellow Brick Home if you would like to create these awesome floating shelves. They work perfectly in a small alcove, but can stand alone as well. You can also use hanging shelving to create a makeshift vanity.

This idea from My Kids Time is perfect when your small bedroom limits your furniture configuration and you need to push the bed up next to the wall.
